FEATURED WEAVING

bushFire, shown still on the loom, is the first of a series on the four elements during climate change, the others to be parchedEarth, risingWater, and pollutedAir, all woven on the same warp. The weaving method is the Moorman Technique, which used embedding over a plain weave base layer to achieve a tapestry-like effect. The beginning of parchedEarth can be seen just above the white spacing band. (To be continued when my broken wrist becomes more flexible.)
